Matsumotokiyoshi Expands to Its 7 Overseas Market First-Ever Store Opens in Malaysia, a Key Hub of Southeast Asia Accelerating Global Expansion

The company is accelerating its global strategy by expanding into new Asian markets to further advance globalization, strengthen awareness of the Matsumotokiyoshi brand, and develop global talent.
As the first step in our business expansion in Malaysia, we are pleased to announce the opening of the first Matsumotokiyoshi store in Malaysia on Thursday, December 11, located on the first floor of the Toppen Shopping Centre, a major commercial destination in Johor Bahru.
Malaysia—an important economic and cultural hub in Southeast Asia—represents a highly strategic market for us. This opening will play a pivotal role in significantly enhancing brand recognition for Matsumotokiyoshi and advancing our goal of becoming Asia’s No.1 company in the fields of health and beauty.

Our group’s overseas expansion began in 2015 with our entry into the Kingdom of Thailand, followed by Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and Guam. With the opening of our first store in Malaysia, we have now expanded into 6 overseas areas, reaching a total of 88 overseas stores as of the end of September 2025 (Including cross-border e-commerce, our overseas presence spans 7 areas.)
Going forward, our group will continue to expand its global business by understanding consumer purchasing behavior in each market and analyzing the purchasing patterns of international tourists visiting Japan. Through this, we aim to offer the most optimized product assortment and services both domestically and internationally.
